What are veneers?
Veneers are thin shells that we place on the front of your teeth to perfect your smile. They conceal discolouration, misalignment and minor damage, so your teeth look even and radiant again. Within one treatment you get a natural-looking smile that perfectly suits your face and appearance.

Types of veneers
There are two main types of veneers: composite and porcelain. The choice between these materials depends on your specific wishes and the condition of your teeth.
Composite veneers
Composite veneers are a quick and affordable way to improve your smile. We apply this tooth-coloured resin directly to your teeth and shape it into a natural result. The big advantage? In many cases you leave our practice after just one appointment with a radiant smile. Composite veneers are also easy to repair if damaged, so your smile always looks well cared for.
Porcelain veneers
Porcelain veneers provide a long-lasting radiant smile. These thin ceramic shells are custom-made in a dental laboratory and firmly bonded to your teeth. Thanks to the high quality of porcelain, they are not only durable but also more resistant to stains. Their translucent properties ensure a natural appearance.
Treatment process
Getting veneers
At our practice, the process of placing veneers is as follows:
-
01
Intake consultation
A radiant smile starts with a personal conversation. During the intake we discuss your wishes and assess your teeth to determine which veneers suit you best. We take the time to inform you properly.
-
02
Preparation
Before placing the veneers, we carefully prepare your teeth. This means lightly grinding the tooth surface and, if necessary, taking impressions. This ensures the veneers fit your own teeth perfectly and give a natural result.
-
03
Placement
As soon as the veneers are ready, we carefully place them on your teeth. We adjust them if necessary and check the colour and shape. After the treatment you walk out the door with perfect teeth that suit you.

Frequently asked questions about veneers
How much do veneers cost?
The cost of veneers depends on the material and the number of veneers you need. Composite veneers are more affordable and cost on average between €100 and €150 per tooth, while porcelain veneers are more expensive and cost between €400 and €800 per tooth.
How long do veneers last?
Composite veneers last on average 5 to 7 years, while porcelain veneers have a lifespan of 10 to 15 years. The lifespan depends on your oral hygiene and how you treat your teeth.
Are veneers covered by my health insurer?
Veneers are usually not covered by the basic health insurance, but may be (partially) reimbursed with supplementary dental insurance. Reimbursement depends on your policy conditions. Contact your health insurer for exact details.
Are veneers permanent?
Yes, veneers are permanent, especially porcelain veneers, because a thin layer of enamel is usually ground away from the tooth. Composite veneers are sometimes reversible, but still require maintenance and replacement after a few years.
How long does it take to place veneers?
Placing composite veneers usually takes one appointment of 1 to 2 hours. Porcelain veneers usually require two appointments: one for preparation and impressions, and one for final placement after about two weeks.
Does placing veneers hurt?
No, placing veneers does not hurt. With porcelain veneers we grind away a thin layer of the tooth if necessary and use a local anaesthetic. Composite veneers are applied directly, without invasive treatment.
How do I take care of my veneers?
Keep your veneers clean by brushing twice a day with a soft toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Use floss or interdental brushes to remove plaque between your teeth. Avoid hard or sticky food and have your teeth checked regularly by the dentist to keep your veneers in good condition.
